Determining a horse’s body weight is crucial for proper bodyweight management, feeding practices, and medication administration. The Healthy Horse App provides a tool for horse owners and equine professionals to estimate the body weight of various horse breeds including adult Arabians, draft horses, miniature horses (both adult and juvenile), stock horses, saddle-type horses, ponies, Warmbloods, and Thoroughbreds. This estimation is facilitated by novel equations developed through academic research, considering the equine’s height, body length, neck circumference, and girth circumference.

Moreover, the app calculates the ideal body weight for each breed type utilizing newly developed equations resulting from academic studies, taking into account the equine's height and body length. It is essential to note that while the app provides estimates of actual and ideal body weights, it does not substitute a professional examination by a qualified equine specialist.

The Healthy Horse App is now accessible in both Spanish and English languages. Users have the flexibility to input measurements in imperial or metric units, with the results conveniently displayed in pounds or kilograms.
